"Áit Linn is a free confidential service offering education and recovery for people who are affected by drinking. The service is available to individuals over the age of 18 who are either affected by their own drinking or by a family members’ drinking"
All our staff have considerable experience in the area of addiction, and are qualified in psychotherapy. Staff are supervised on a fortnightly basis to ensure the quality of the service provided. The staff work as a team and the programmes have a family based focus, with a particular focus on relationships. This is because addiction tends to affect not just the individual but those around them, and recovery involves the entire family system.
Ait Linn staff are qualified to engage with employers on behalf of clients, and to participate in case conferences as we have particular experience in this area.
Ait Linn staff work in an integrated manner with clients incorporating aspects of cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and other methods, however our main focus is getting to know and supporting the whole person over a time period that allows for slow and progressive change.
