On September 8th 2016, we held a Graduation Ceremony to celebrate a number of clients achieving 12-18 months abstinence. The ceremony was attended by the clients and their loved ones, and it was an occasion to mark how far each individual has come,  to reflect on their journey to date, and to prepare for what the future holds.

The ceremony was hosted by Minister Catherine Byrne, with the patron of the service Maureen O'Sullivan also contributing to the evenings events.

Senator Aodhán Ó Ríordáin also attended the ceremony, giving so generously of his time to chat with clients and staff. A number of the programme's graduates had met with the Senator previously when he had visited the service in a Ministerial role. Clients and staff alike were touched by his words of support and encouragement.

The evening was a great success and enjoyed by all; so much so that we have decided to make the Graduation Ceremony an annual event. We wish to congratulate our 2016 graduates and wish them success in their continued recovery and for all their future endeavours.

Finally we would like to thank all who participated in making the evening a success;

Minister Catherine Byrne

Maureen O'Sullivan TD

Senator Aodhán Ó Ríordáin

Also, thank you to the staff, board members, and clients who worked hard to ensure the evening went ahead despite space restrictions and weather difficulties.

A final word of thanks to our clients and their loved ones who have all worked hard this year to make recovery a priority and improve the circumstances of their lives. We are priviliged to have shared this journey with you.
